Who Are we?

Hi there, We're siblings going on our first international trip! Our names are Nate Benton (from Alaska) & Shaundy Benton (from Washington). Typically, we only get to see each other about once or twice a year, so this year we planned on doing something a bit more special and adventurous - taking a Rick Steve's Tour to London!

Nate

Having never left the United States before, I was a bit intimidated planning a trip to a different country. Rick Steve's Tour helped ease those worries. The detail that went into the itinerary, hotel, the location, and our tour guide Jamie all made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip.

 Why Rick Steve's?

I'm a planner by nature, so that part was fun for me! But, navigating in a different country made me a bit nervous. Having our Tour Guide Jamie, walking us through the streets of London and the Tube made me feel more comfortable. Traveling with a group of people from all over the United States, experiencing the history, beauty, and culture of London together was fun to experience!

Tour Benefits

  • Hotel is in a prime location - breakfast included!

  • Awesome local tour guides.

  • Sharing experiences & conversations with other tour members

  • Flexible - we had time after the tour activities for our own adventures!

  • Tour Book! Rick wrote the books, made the shows, and took care of all the details! (He's basically the original travel influencer)

  • No hidden fees - everything is up front and seamless.

  • Itinerary that hits all the major landmarks while avoiding the crowds as much as possible

  • Experiences unique to each location (such as High Tea and Double Decker bus tours in London)

  • We barely had to wait in a line! For us entry was always quick and efficient.

  • Safety - We weren't alone, so we did feel safer. You have people to call if you need any help.

  • Your tour guide is there if you need any recommendations or ideas.

Why London?

As first timers to Europe, London seemed to be a good introduction. London is such a melting pot of different cultures. You can hear dozens of languages in a single afternoon, and somehow it all still feels welcoming and familiar. It also blends history with modern advances so masterfully. The ease and comfort of London is part of what made the trip memorable for us.

Our Favorite moments & memories of the tour

After touring the Tower of London and nearby landmarks, I was exhausted. We had been walking a lot everyday, and I wanted to rest. To end that day, we took a night cruise on the Thames River. Relaxing on the boat while seeing London lit up at night was one of my favorite moments of the trip.

The Double Decker bus tour was so much fun! With the open top! It was our first outing as a group and it was AWESOME! We got to drive around and see all the sights in one go for the first time, on the first day of the tour. We got up close and personal with some of them trees and also "Big Ben" aka Elizabeth Tower.
